Many people don’t know, but every year we improve every single small details on all our amps/designs, we don’t just sit here and utilize one design and use it forever like most “business oriented” manufacturers do, we are the lab and tube experts, and we keep on making things better and contentiously execute revolution to our tube designs.
2025+
And for those who wants literally highest gain settings at 0.5V, we are developing another version with NOS 6SQ7 - which is a higher quality and quieter tube (from start up, to idle/play, and turning off we measured and tested). Perfect for those who wants to driven directly with their preamp / dac / players / streamer / passive preamps - which is pretty common last decade or so. There are ample of stock of good quality NOS 6SQ7, although the variation isn’t as much as 6SN7/CV181.
2024+
For those who wants higher input sensitivity than the current 6SN7/CV181 1V front end, we have made a higher gain edition with using one 6SL7 and one 6SN7/CV181. Which gives you 0.7V to get the max power. The combination mix and match will be the most fun and highest, because there are lots of 6SL7 and both 6SN7 tubes out there to roll. This also drive lower efficient speakers better / louder than normal spec.
2023+
Starting end of 2022, we will start share the chassis with the 211M. So bigger transformers and tubes we could use - instead of touching each others , from 50W sized, all the way to 100W. If you go to the bottom of page to look at the 2A3GTC-HMS - our previous chassis really limits from using big transformers and big tubes.
2022+
Starting 2022, the HASHIMOTO (Sansui) Choke Transformer (H-2529) will be the standard part , which is custom make for us specific on this push pull design. People are also welcome to send their high end transformers in to use on the amplifier, as over the years lots of experienced and tube connoisseurs have collected some top tier / exotic transformers but have never used them. Here, Triode Lab, we will unleash the full potential of them for you. Each circuit/amp is tailored to that set of transformers.
2021+
And the 2A3GT is back too! Due to higher demand than ever on higher powered triode tube designs (for those who want the best sound of triode and wants more power). Here is the new 2A3GT-C MK3, which pays tribute to the original MK1 2A3GT-Classic Compact (Smaller size and bill). Class A Operation (And most of the time plays in Class A for the first 8-10 Watts*). And when more power required, it shifts to Class AB to reach 14-15 watts *. Like our other amps, it always drive like a higher power amplifier.
So this has come to our last / finale MK3 version, with the preamp/driver section using the CV181/6SN7 (of course) , like our original MK1 - using doubler-push pull design front end. It’s the most satisfied / loved preamp tube and push pull designed by us to drive the 2A3 , it yields a very sweet, dreamy/holography, beautiful tube sound everyone craves for, and with good power and handling characteristic because of the high end transformers we used. And compared to the first two generations, now we could simplified the circuit to maximum (in the past we have to leave extra space and circuits for using different brand of parts and transformers due to lots of choices compared to today), but as of today, the market is left with much fewer choices on tubes related parts/transformers, so we are narrowed down to to finalize our 2A3 PP Triode design. This is predicted to be the finale version of the 2A3GT design. It was the best , and it is going to be a future classic!

2A3GT-C HMS
The HMS version is same as the GTC, but with complete set of Hammonds (Canada) Classic Tube Transformers. It might be better for matching some speakers, such vintage and horn speakers, with less info/details and absolute performance (when these speakers can’t play the notes, then it will become stuffy / hard / flat) and higher musicality kind of sound. The HMS 2A3GTC offers a more tube sound from the golden time of stereo. Old chassis shown, with a shorter length of 17”.
